DEVELOPMENT

We are a two-person team working in central London. Machines Have Lucid Dreams is our first game, which we started in March 2020.  After 2 years of development it is finally ready for consumption.

MHLD is about finding meaning in the small things... And the abundant options that can exist with only a handful of miscellaneous objects.

It was created using Adventure Game Studio.

A sequel/ remix is currently in development, using Unity... which we are excited about revealing snippets of in the coming months (!!!)

We hope you enjoy what was an unexpectedly long, protracted and personal journey for us in the development of this strange world which,  starting from humble beginnings, grew and grew the more we added to it...

I've been playing a few hours and found it quite interesting how the game brings a deep reflection with both charecters and mechanics about the world were we live and how we treat it. Also I must give you my greetings for doing quite and interesting and experimental game.

Loved the mailbox faces :)

Thank you for your message paurodesa, so happy that you have made this connection with our game. MHLD has definitely been a space for personal expression for us these last 2 years - a catch-all for our thoughts about the world and our place in it, especially during the lockdowns.

The mailboxes are voiced by Blythe :)

played for a bit really liked the art and design and the sound effects, one thing to note, the text for the mailboxes at the start was really hard to read,

thank you 2tgv! Yes, the font can be tough to read at times - perhaps due to the 320 x 200 resolution we are using 0.o

Not my case i didn't have any trouble to read
